I don't know the ins and outs of why/if Rob left/got fired, or if the hunt for a record label drew blanks. But what I fail to understand is the complete lack of activity with shows for such a long time.
In my non-professional but semi-educated opinion, they should have established the live shows before trying to market a group and hunt for a record label, that perform 80-90% of cover versions of Jims songs. If TDE is going to make it anywhere, it needs to perform live; big shows, little shows, indoor, outdoor, main act, opening act, it doesn't matter, they need to get a good reputation of an act to go and see. Then, I'm confident a record deal will follow.
