Jim and the X Factor

I saw the X Factor tonight and I thought Rhydian was much better than 90% of the other contestants. As you say, he sang I Would Do Anything For Love.

Simon Cowell congratulated him on trying a song that wasn't "safe" (unlike the other contestants).

This is the third time that a Jim song has been used on X Factor this season.

The other two were during the initial audition stage (both of them men singing Bat Out Of Hell).

The first one was really funny. He lay on his back to sing after announcing that he was going to do "the death scene from Bat Out Of Hell".

I think it's really cool that one of Jim's songs has a famous "death scene". It somehow puts his work on the same level as Hamlet or Macbeth.
