The Godfish Jamboree

I ran out of medication and haven't had any for about two days. I need some more. I also miss Smeghead. I wish he would come back, isn't he allowed in? I think his being banned is over with. I remember back when Smeghead was plugging his stage show, The Confidence Man. Those were the days. Why can't we go back to those care free moments from the past. People are leaving, soon nobody will be posting. I think things would be better if we just laughed with one another instead of bitching and moaning about others. Lets pretend we are all in a bar and everybody's drunk. Well, maybe thats not such a good idea. Because people in bars get into fights, so a bar isn't a good idea.

What can we do? Maybe if everybody got banned then...wait, if everybody got banned there would be nobody left and what would be the point of a message board. Maybe...no...that would be a dumb idea too. I'm just out of ideas. I'm running on fumes. Anybody ever hear that Don McLean song, It's A Wonderful Life? I think that song sums up whats going on here. It might not be a McLean song, I mean, he sang it, but it might be a cover. You know, originally performed by someone else. McLean covered Roy Orbison's amazing song, Crying, and it was a hit for McLean.

Does anybody think Jim Steinman should work with Josh Groban? Anybody think Jim Steinman should do something? He's always working on projects that never see the light of day and thats no way to live your life. I just noticed that I typed "It Might" and right beneath that it says "it might" again. What are the chances of that happening? Maybe when I actually post the message the words will be in a different position. I'm not sure. I really wish Jim Steinman would blog more, it would give us more to talk about. Who here thinks the BOOH musical will flop? Maybe I will get in trouble for saying that, but it might happen. It wouldn't be good for Steinman at all.

My favorite version of Heaven Can Wait is on Meat Loaf's Storytellers album. If I were to make a live CD of Bat Out Of Hell, I would use the following songs.

1. Bat Out Of Hell from Live At Wembley. Actually, I think the Cd is just called Live.

2. You Took The Words - from Live

3. Heaven Can Wait - From Storytellers

4. All Revved Up - from Live With The MSO (I like this version because Meat Loaf plays around on the Live Around The World version)

5. Two Out Of Three - From Live

6. Paradise - From Live

7. For Crying Out Loud - From Live Around The World

I bet most of you would disagree with my choices, but I don't care.

Does anybody else think that Jim should record new versions of I'll Kill You If You Don't Come Back and I'm Gonna Love Her For Both Of Us? Barry Manilow's version of Read'Em And Weep shows the potential that the Dead Ringer songs have. I for one would love to hear new versions of IKYIYDCB and IGLHFBOU. The versions on Dead Ringer sound terrible.

On the MSO DVD commentary Meat says that Patti Russo can sing just like Cher. I would really like to hear her sing like Cher. Meat Loaf also said that Patti is now Jim's favorite female singer. I think Jim should work with Patti Russo.
