| I just wanted to say that I am not a big fan of politics. I truly feel that in this day and age American leaders try so hard to make everyone happy without stepping on any toes that nothing productive will come from our country for many years to come. For example the immigration problem we have here. Whether we deport millions of people or make them citizens, SOMETHING should be decided. If we let them stay we can at least get taxes from them and they can contribute to society. If we deport them we can give jobs to new people to get immigrants out of the country. I personally don't care either way as long as SOMETHING gets done! The first few articles Jim posted were truly frightening considering the amount of money that has just "disappeared". The fact that our own troops are stealing from the taxpayers supporting them, that they are taking advantage of Iraq, is disheartening and disgusting. I feel that as long as Gee Dub-ya is in power here our country will be hated by the whole world. I remember seeing an interview once where someone questioned him about the lack of support from the American people and his exact response was "Oh, I don't care about that at all". No Michael Moore editing either. As a college student and the future of the country I can offer some input on my what my friends and colleagues feel and I have never met anyone who supported Bush or his sick ruling ways. My girlfriend has to use loans to get through college. Just last year our good old president decided it would be in the country's best interest to get rid of a substantial amount of loans as well as up the interest rate for the remaining ones. Basically setting up a system where higher education is NOT encouraged by our leaders. If anyone can name anything helpful G.W. has done for my generation, the future of America, Id LOVE to hear it. Id also like to say that the later articles Jim posted about hopefuls running in the next election really showed a light at the end of the tunnel. I think it would be great to have a president who has a sense of humor and who cares about issues of the future. I dont want to grow old and never get to retire. I dont want to have children who can never go to another country because of the price on their heads. I dont want to feel like at any minute a new tax will be passed that will take even more money from my pockets. I dont want to loose everything I have just so that we can outsource and up our poor and unemployed statistics. G.W. doesnt give a shit about our country, he cares about taking over OTHER countries instead. Now I am sure there will be many people on here who may disagree with me, but please notice I didnt say anything negative about the people who believe in George Bush. Everyone can believe in what they want, and I wont EVER change my mind about this PIG. A.G. Awesome | |
