| I use to love Christmas, but for some reason in the last 5 or so years it has lost all it’s sparkle and spirit. It doesn’t hold anything special for me anymore. I guess one thing that puts a real dampener on it for me is all this political correctness crap that keeps surfacing ..Like not allowing Santa Clause to say ‘HO HO HO’ or banning Santa completely from shopping malls just in case he is a pervert or a paedophile. All the traditional stuff that I was brought up to know is now classified as wrong because of all the different nationalities now making up our communities. The way I feel about it is, if you want to celebrate this particular season or if you don’t it’s up to you. But why the hell ruin everybody else’s happy time and stuff up there traditions because it’s not what you believe or what your traditional beliefs specify. Being 3,500 kilometres away from my family for so many years most probably doesn’t help either. I did try to put some lights on the house tho, not an easy task when you have to do it yourself. The two people I live with are totally F#@ing useless at doing anything and don’t contribute in anyway to anything. The real bummer was as soon as I got the lights up they wouldn’t work, as some of the bulbs blew in the effort to get them there. Any who, it’s always a long hot summer at Christmas time where I am and it’s too warm for snow in winter. I have always wanted the opportunity to experience a white Christmas, that would be so special. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Season no mater what part of the world you are from and what ever your religious beliefs. As far as I’m concerned it’s a thing that takes place at the end of the year so I can have a rest before the next year starts. Have a great holiday everyone….. Love Jaycee xx | |
