| What really happened with BAT 3? From what I've read and heard it went something like this... Jim approached Meat to do BAT 3, Meat was in because of the song WPOMBHTM among other reasons. Meat is not a studio person and I don't think he had it in him to spend, in his opinion excessive time in the studio doing vocal takes. Jim is best at getting the most out of Meat's voice. Too bad Meat didn't see it that way. That coupled with Jim's illness gave Meat the opportunity to rush BAT 3 with Desmond. Poor choice. My feeling is that Jim's health was more of an issue than at that time than anyone wishes to admit. I'm sure he's fine now but then, who knows? I think that Jim also is in no rush to do anything. I think that Meat wanted a certain timetable and when he figured that it wasn't going to work, he played up Jim's health and look what we have... | |
