I don't remember any of those quotes he made. I never heard the story about "Sunset Boulevard" either. I thought "All Coming Back" was written for "Wuthering Heights" in the 1980s. I know ALW was developing "Sunset" since the 1970s but he wasn't completely serious until "Aspects" opened in '89, same year as Pandora's Box.
I'd love to know what the cast & crew of "Dance of the Vampires" would have to say about his comments. Tim Rice hated the Broadway "Chess" but he turned up to Opening Night and all.
Also, Steinman's story about Prince contradicts Prince's story in the "Whistle" chapter of his Bio.
