The thing with "Neverland" is, it always felt like Brecht to me. The songs weren't integrated like in a Rodgers & Hammerstein musical. The songs sort of explored the themes of the character's emotions, less than the story.
Also, the "specially constructed theatre" isn't happening anymore. Jim said on his blog that they couldn't find room in London, and that the producers were after the Apollo Victoria. That's where "Starlight Express" played for aaaages, and "Wicked" is there, with no signs of bad business. I don't think it's closing anytime soon according to my sources.
