| I think a 'greatest hits' may be difficult with all the different record labels involved, however I do think he should look at getting more exposure through 2008. Even though I have a lukewarm feeling about American Idol, it's ten times better than X-Factor and would raise Steinman's profile hugely, and it is shown in England (a few days after US transmission). Maybe offer up a new song for the winner's single? A Dream Engine album would be perfect for this year (or last), with a 'featuring songs from the upcoming Bat musical' promo angle? If not that, an established artiste releases a track 'from the upcoming musical'. Lots of press. A Mojo or Q magazine feature would be cool, the 'making of Bat musical'. The Bonnie album could help, if he does promo with her. A really cool Bat website, and 'myspace' if necessary (I don't see the point, if you have a web site). BTW - Stop knocking Boy George, his street sweeping is second to none; Manhattan never looked so clean. > I think what should happen this year, especially with the > fabled Bat musical opening in 2008/9 is: > > Jim to release HIS greatest hits CD and a compilation > music video DVD. > Get someone in charge of The Dream Engine who can operate > a phone to book some gigs. > Do American Idol, have a Jim Steinman week.
