OK so Marillion only got 50k Sterling to make and market their product. But what Marillion did do was say that they could preorder the product before it was even made but only to its fan members. If Steinman's management could put up an offer to his fans (Not public) to incentivitse them to invest upfront in his product by offering them a share fund (plus pre-ordedered ticket) linked to the show's performance. Depending on how the show does will depend on the dividend provided. It would mean that the more times that Steinman/Meat Loaf fans of the fund go to the show the more likely the share dividend fund would go up. So hence paying for their own success! It's like pyramid selling for the theatre! Good marketing idea though!
