| The first sad part to this was there was no Jim involvement there were some quotes an acknowledgements but that was it. Some nice snippets from Todd Rundgren which are always interesting there was also some good snippets from Pearl and Amanda both obviously very proud of their father. Meat tried to explain why he went along with BAT3 with out Jim justifying it by saying that bat 2 took 7 years and he didn't have 7 years left (meat that is )and that with Jims illnesses blah blah blah but ill give him some credit he shoulders the responsibility of doing so. (just need an omission it was a mistake to do so) Meats manager well all i can say is you can see there is no love lost between him and Jim, didn't say a lot but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to that figure out. He made a comment that desmond childs took Bat from being bombastic to more orchestraly bombastic obviously he has never heard "For crying out loud before all i can say is what a tube! I hope for Meats sake he is a better business manager because he sure doesn't get Bat out of Hell. He stated that there were differences between himself and Jim with regards to the time line of doing bat 3 after Jim's illness. Bombastic to orchestraly bombastic more like from bombastic to bomb Now for what made me sieve a quote from Mr Childs " When i heard Steinman was not going to produce Bat 3 I knew that it was my calling" First of all i found it disrespectful that he said Steinman and not Jim Steinman (petty maybe) Secondly "was not going to produce" no mention to the fact that hey this Steinman as you put it also wrote the first to bat albums and created its concept Thirdly "I knew it was my calling" I don't think so, You knew it was an opportunity, an opportunity to get some of your crap songs onto a bat album and album where they clearly do not belong. If it was your calling to do an album with Meat loaf then you should have done one with out promoting on the back of a Bat legacy. > Did anyone see the Meat Loaf Biography that was shown > tonight on the biography channel? It was a 60 min show. I > haven’t watched it all yet so will reserve judgement to I > have. But the start has left me a bit sieving to say the > least. | |
