| Is he asking Jim to write/produce a record for him, or is he after a part in the Bat musical? If it's the former, then he's having a laff!! If it's the latter, he's having a laff!! (and in any case he should audition like everyone else interested/capable). In the clip at the link (which I presume is a 'showcase' for his act) his breathing, phrasing and enunciation is average/poor, although I do like the backdrop. > I don't know that he thinks Meat's a character - just that > he thinks his voice is better than Meat's ever > was...thinks it's better than all of the vocalists Jim's > used...hence, he deserves to work with Jim. > > > I was more musing the fact of how many people think that > > Bat Out Of Hell: The Musical is a musical about Meat Loaf, > > rather than it actually being a musical with some songs > > from Bat Out Of Hell and nothing to do with Meat Loaf at > > all. > > > > I got the impression from what JD mentioned that > > Torkington believes Meat Loaf is going to be a central > > character and that's why if Jim doesn't use a Meat Loaf > > impersonator it's doomed for failure. > > > > > Looks like he thinks the best way to get Jim to hire him > > > is to treat him like shit. > > > > > > Let's see how that works out for him... > > > > > > Not that I know that much about Torkington (I know > > > enough), but if it wasn't for Jim in the first place he > > > wouldn't have the "job" he has today. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Going back to the comment that JD made He sends nasty > > > > mail to Jim all the time.
