| Well if Jim does work on this album, I would think Cowell will have the final say on songs & mixes? However, if Cowell can hide his ego for a few minutes and show some imagination, he should let Jim have a free reign and come up with what Jim wants. If that happens, the only problem I can see is the length of the tracks, if Jim is involved. Having said all that, I thought Jim & Rinkoff were forming Dream Engine so they could do exactly what they wanted and not have to compromise to the Cowell's of this world? In terms of genre I can see Rhydian being another Russell Watson, or the solo Il Divo; a mash of pop, theatre & opera, which is ideally suited to Steinman. > I only hope it's an album with some BALLS, Jim's work over > the last few years has been a bit to M.O.R for my liking. > Westlife etc whats that all about. > > Let us remember Jim has had his biggest sucesses with rock > music, when he unleashed BOOH & BIH they were edgy, nobody > had heard anything like them upon release, i think Jim's > quote about seeing "whats on the other side" applies. > > Now i think should this Rhydian/Jim thing come off where > do they take it genre wise, honestly i cannot see rhydian > beeing the next big rock singer, rock singers evolve, they > are not manufactured by tv show. > > If it goes the way i expect, MOR, commercial sucess is > almost guaranteed at the expense of artistic freedom on > Jim's part. > > > > I would imagine there is gonna be some Phantom 1 content > > on the new Rhydian Roberts album. > > > > If/when Jim signs up, would love to see him produce ‘Music > > of the Night’ and/or ‘Phantom of the Opera’, and maybe > > even ‘All I Ask of You’ (duet with Charlotte Church for > > the Welsh vote?). > > > > Of the possible Steinman songs on the album, would > > primarily love to see something/anything new. > > > > This could be the outlet for ‘What Part of My Body Hurts > > The Most?’, as well as promo for the Bat musical.
