| X-FACTOR finalist Rhydian Roberts insists he’ll be releasing his album before winner Leon Jackson. Rhydian, 25, from Sennybridge, started recording the opera-style record last week. And friends of the star have revealed that the singer has been told it will be out in April – more than four months before Leon. An insider said: “Rhydian’s album will be out in April, which is brilliant news. That’s well before Leon. “We all know Rhydian should have won the competition and we were gutted when he didn’t. “But he’s beaten Leon when it comes to releasing an album.” Rhydian has signed a £1m record deal with Simon Cowell and his album – which now has Meatloaf songwriter Jim Steinman on board – will be released under the Sony BMG label. His debut single is expected to come out soon, whilst Leon’s album is not expected out until late autumn. | |
