Comparing the two is pretty daft in my opinion and it's like when people were comparing Meat Loaf to Rob Evan, why can't each person be judged individually?
I think depending on which side of the aisle you lean towards most Steinman or Meat Loaf depends on what your view is. Loafers (and I say that with all the love there ever was LOL) tend to say any singer Jim works with is shit compared to Meat. They don't have the power, they don't have the emotion, they don't have the charisma, blah-dee-blah-dee-blah! And the ones who mostly side with Jim say Meat is shit compared to whoever and that he doesn't have it any more.
Personally I judge each one on their own strengths and weakness's and if they're going to do justice to one of Jims songs on a bigger picture. The bigger picture being stage or CD and not just hoarded as some demo on Rinkoff's computer.
