I've listened to hundreds of songs this year, and last year, and the year before that etc., and the ones that got the most repeated -- above The Beatles and Elvis Presley himself -- was Jim Steinman. There's something so addictive about the drama, the passion and the fury of those albums. Music has a tendency to capture certain parts of our lives, certain memories, and all music does that to me but Steinman... I don't exactly know what his Colonel Sanders' secret ingredient is, but it has me going back constantly. I can't last a week, or even a day, without playing one of the songs. What did I have on repeat the other day? "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" and "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All". "Bat Out Of Hell II" still remains my favourite album after all these years, followed by the original, "The Dark Side Of The Moon" Pink Floyd and Billy Joel "The River Of Dreams".
