| They use the line: "Once upon a time I was falling in love now I'm only falling apart/ Totally fucked from the start" JD likes it. :) xxx Jacqueline ----------------------------- Hear it on their MySpace Page: http://www.myspace.com/envelopes Here is their website http://www.envelopes.se/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/articles/8621/Envelopes---Party.html THIS IS FAKE DIY (UK EDITION) Envelopes - Party Artist: Envelopes Rating: Without any knowledge whatsoever of musical copyright laws, whether in fact Envelopes owe Bonnie Tyler anything for ripping a line directly from her omnipresent hit 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart' isn't clear. It doesn't even matter much, despite it being the only memorable moment during 'Party'. Perhaps it's designed to be so: it's perfectly normal to spend hours on end at a party and remember only the ill-conceived idea that yes, the neighbours really do want to listen to the greatest hits of Rod Stewart at 3am on full volume (note: this hasn't actually happened; we don't even own one of his records). Perhaps Envelopes' overriding party souvenir is a love for croaky-voiced Welsh balladeers. Yet, 'Party' is an Envelopes track, and as such it's so inherently and undeniably loveable that while the apparent lack of structure, coherence or recognisable melody means it's hardly likely to make any karaoke machines, well, ever, it's no surprise that it's addictive. Like a party indeed, you've no idea what's going on throughout, but somehow you'll end up with reason to grin until at least Wednesday. 'Party' is released as a single through Brille Records on 11th February 2008. Emma Swann | |
