I totally agree that the arrangement on PB version is the finest - I especially miss the dirtiness of the guitar solos on Chinny Dion's version - but even that could do with a complete re-record (as opposed to one of Jim's "throw in a few thunder sound effects and a motorcyle revving up over the intro" remixes) to make it the timeless classic it deserves to be. For me, Elaine's voice is perfect in that song (less so on 'It Just Won't Quit'), but I'd also agree that the DOTV demos are the pinnacle of her work with Jim. | |
