| Whether you like it or not Meats name will always be associated with bat out of hell 50 million record sales has something to do with that. This show will need good publicity and to alienate meat from this may be a mistake. Don't get me wrong i wouldn't have him star in it in any way or make him some kind of producer but it would be stupid not to use his image as a tie in to the bat albums. I think your being a bit naive thinking that people will turn up expecting to see a meat loaf performance people are not that stupid. People don't go to see we will rock you and expect to see queen or the re carnation of Freddie Mercury and they don't go to see mamma mia and expect to see two Swedish birds past there prime. That why i also think using Rhydian in the show is a good idea as the publicity it will bring to people who don't know Jim's work will be huge in the UK. > > The producers better do their damned 110% best to convince > the people that it's not a musical based on "Meat Loaf's > Bat Out Of Hell". The producers better do their damned > best to communicate it's Steinman's project. Otherwise > people are going to turn up like someone would turn up to > Snow White and say, "where's the 7 dwarfs?" | |
