Wait, this is what it's referred to in English: A) Braver Than We Are (Alternate. Out On The Far Side.) B) Red Boots Ballet C) Say A Prayer This is what it's referred to in German: A) Draussen ist Freiheit B) Starker als wir sind (Die Roten Stieful) C) Starker als wir sind "Starker als wir sind (Die Roten Stieful)" (or "Red Boots Ballet") is, to my ears, a sped-up version of "Draussen ist Freiheit". I don't notice anything thematically different to what we hear in "Freiheit". The arrangement is bigger, rockier and more theatrical. That's all. Even the dance part is (what I refer to it in English): "There are secrets I never can tell / There are shadows of darkness in heaven" etc. It's all the same tune. On Broadway, the dance part also includes the theme for "Angels Arise" and parts of "The Storm" (which had turned up, musically, when Chagal raced into the Forest. In the German version. Whew! This gets confusing! But bare with me.) Then "Say A Prayer" / "Starker als wir sind" plays. That's not really new either. It's just a new vocal part written over the theme of the chorus to "Freiheit" and "Starker als wir sind (Die Roten Stieful)" ("The Red Boots" part, Stuttgart version NOT the Vienna dance sequence.) You can tell, because Sarah and Krolock start to sing that line. It's just the voices of the townspeople that are different. Technically, nothing new was added to the sequence, just a variation on existing themes that weren't used to the best of their ability in Vienna. > So you're talking about "Draussen ist Freiheit" too, > right?
