| Especially the German version. And with that particular ending: Nein! Es wär' verkehrt, den Kopf zu verliern. Wir wollen nicht vor der Zeit den Genuss ruiniern. (ie the drinking of her blood) Mit jeder Stunde des Wartens wird die Lust mehr entfacht. (refers to the sole act of drinking of her blood) Ich lass dich fühlen, was dich unsterblich macht, wenn wir zwei tanzen auf dem Ball morgen Nacht. (song ends here, without a single reference to him loving her, the ending states pretty much that he desires her blood and nothing else) Cue in the usual slam on Kunze and how bad his lyrics are (coming from someone who does not comprehend German and only has the direct translation to work with). The movie was a spoof on Hammer vampire movies, the show still is based on that. Vampire wants blood, not from the usual peasants, but something that is nice to look at too. And he gets it. Woot. Additionally Dance likely was to Polanski (cue in the usual slams) what Bat3 was for Steinman. I pretty much doubt any of the numerous scripts Steinman did prior to open-beta testing with additional rewrites by director, MC and Ives in Minskoff were sanctioned by Polanski. > Total Eclipse is about All encompassing love. > > > > > > > > Jim's songs make it far more of a love story.
