In regards to the Bat musical, I can understand the producers not wanting Jim to say anything (yet), which is fair enough.
However, he could blog about his other projects over the years, recording session anectdotes etc etc, which I'm sure would be of interest.
I get the impression he may have started the blog back in 2006, to have some sort of 'voice' during the Bat 3 'debacle', and may have just got slowly bored with it?
In regards Steve Rinkoff, he seems very protective of Jim's work (and to a certain extent his own work), and I imagine he doesn't like the blog and demos being released. I reckon he was pulling his hair out when Jim uploaded all the Batman stuff?
