I'd love to be a bone marrow donor, along with being a blood donor and an organ donor (obviously when I'm dead) unfortunately in New Zealand most Brits can't because of the tiniest chance of passing on Mad Cow disease. In my case it would probably be a high likliehood of me passing on Mad Cow's, however, you give that option to someone who only has a short time to live and I bet they won't give a fuck about going nutty in a few years time.
