Again, if you want to stretch out the show you could build it. Since it is justified later I don't think it needs to be foreshadowed much. There was a bit of foreshadowing I threw in with the "Oh no not her..." lines. > Obviously, but there's no sense of an 'attack' on > Obsidian. Stopping the attack before it begins seems very logical. I have no idea how the attack was stopped in the original 1977 show. > You're probably right. Well, it does basically end the second act. What comes after is a D'enouement. > Well the 'fashion' with jukebox musicals is to stick in a > song or medley after the curtain call, that the audience > may expect to hear, but would not work in the story. I don't consider Neverland a Jukebox musical. No matter what ignorant audiences may think. Neverland came before Bat Out Of Hell... > I understood the fact that you were trying to justify 'The > Want Ad' (why did Jim put it in?) Anything like that would be underground. And the fact that a bunch of perverts are infiltrating a Christian dating site is far more satirically satisfying than having Wendy lurking on a pervert website. Plus I assume that her parents are trying to hook her up with a nice boy rather than her looking for someone, since her heart is lost to Peter. > > I don't think he'll ever let me do it. > > Have you ever asked him? Yes, and I got no reply. I didn't ask him when we met in person as he had just recovered from 3 strokes and didn't seem up for such a discussion. > > Final question: Does anyone think 'Bat' will have or needs > the 'Historian' role? I don't think it will have it. I think Jim will be talked out of it for the commercialization of the piece. I don't think it needs it to be a light fluff piece. I think the role adds immesureably to the original Neverland show. | |
