Reminds me of my old radio show... I once played a whole set without turning the system on. In other words i actually played dead air for 2 hours. Didn't notice until the girls who were on after me came in to get ready for their set.
Apparently the fact that I was playing "The End" gave away my state of mind and explained why I was playing dead air.
