"Bat Out Of Hell" doesn't need a star. "Dance Of The Vampires" should have been Steinman's production (i.e. "Sunset Boulevard, The Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical") but the attention shift to Michael Crawford (i.e. "Michael Crawford, Dance of the Vampires" in the same huge type with "A New Musical by Jim Steinman and Michael Kunze" in microscopic type at the bottom.) The same thing happened on "Bat Out Of Hell" with Meat Loaf. Meat Loaf got all the attention. Or Bonnie Tyler got all the attention. Or Celine Dion got all the attention. But this is "Bat Out Of Hell" according to Jim Steinman. This is like Wagner realizing everything he ever wanted in The Ring Cycle. If this show needs a star then it's Jim Steinman or "Songs by Jim Steinman". That title holds more clout than you think. > I don't think it will cheapen the Public's perception...
