I was saddened to hear this. A big GC fan, including his movie work. Who can forget his Catholic Bishop in Dogma? Buddy Christ, anyone? Or Rufus from Bill and Ted (although he himself thought this role was turgid.)

But it was the stand-up comedy, and the HBO specials that I loved most. When I first heard You're All Diseased and Back In Town I pretty much pissed myself laughing. You know when you bust a gut and can't catch your breath? Total class, and a firm middle finger to The Man.
