How is any of that good tho, compared to "Bat Out Of Hell"? It's like if you were to approach Jeff Wayne and say "Hi, I know you're working on the stage extravaganza of "The War of the Worlds" but why don't we discuss a touring concert with complete unknowns, or singers from Broadway, promoting some of your greatest hits, obscure songs and new material." Jeff retorts "It's interesting, but what's the point of all that when I can show the world my true masterpiece, the true culmination of my talent in "Bat Out Of Hell"? Or someone approached Disney in the 1930s, "Walt, let's stage a touring event compiling episodes from The Silly Symphonies." Walt retorts "It's interesting, but what's the point of all that when I can show the world my true masterpiece, the true culmination of my talent in "Fantasia"? That's EXACTLY the way I see it. TDE would compete with "Bat Out Of Hell", both including greatest hits with some new material, and even if it wasn't THERE'S NO WAY "Bat Out Of Hell" would be mediocre like TDE. Bigger is better? At this stage in Jim's career, it's like we have to celebrate our parents' 50th birthday. And what do you normally do when you celebrate your parents' 50th birthday? You try and give them the biggest party of their life. TDE is not the biggest party of Jim's life, which he deserves at this stage of his life, (it's more like celebrating your 40th), "Bat Out Of Hell" is. > > None of the vocalists really stood out. > > I disagree.
