Quite agree, and I PM'd the mod in question to say so. Actually I also said so in the thread in question, but one of the rules on that board is not to question mods on the board, so my post got deleted.
I'm pretty sure the ban will be lifted just as soon as the other mods see what's happened (I think they're almost all away from the board at the moment, following Meat's tour around the country).
I used to live in ScouseLand when I was at college, and normally their #1 attribute is a good sense of humour, but obviously there's been a massive sense-of-humour failure this time.
