| I think Jim had 'Heaven Can Wait' & 'For Crying Out Loud' before he met Meat (or at least a short while after) and not written with Meat (or the Bat album) in mind. The first song he wrote specifically for Meat was 'Took The Words', around 1975 I think (source: Radio 1 - A Hell of a Record interview). 'Paradise' was prompted by Meat's experiences in high school (apparently), and 2/3 was the last song written for Bat, probably late '76, early '77? 'Bat' (musically) resulted from an aborted attempt by Meat & Jim to do their version of 'Jailhouse Rock', and I think lyrics were inspired by the film 'Psycho'. > So I wonder what the real story behind Bat out of Hell is > now.
