I completely disagree. Jim Carey is incapable of playing anyone other than Jim Carey. Ace Ventura, The Mask, and The Riddler all seemed like the exact same character to me. Heath Ledger actually makes his version of the Joker very scary and is a far cry from silly slapstick. Though, I do think Oscar buzz is in part due to his death, let's not forget he was also nominated for an Oscar a few years ago as well.
