That was indeed what I meant, the dismissing of Bat 3 as we now have it. Although I think the album is ok and on par with CHSIB in many ways it's definitely not a Bat album I think, nor does Meat probably think it is.

Meat said in 2006 that he didn't think he had 3-4 years or so (and that was as of 2005) to complete the project had he waited to do it with Steinman. If he had had a bit more patience (he could easily still have released the "Monster is Loose" album without Steinman stuff but with Desmond Child) then I think 2009 would have been perfect timing for Meat and Steinman. Meat did say in a few interviews in 2007 he regretted his decision, saying he was selfish.
Meat probably didn't see himself performing past 60.
