Annika Norlin, Swedish singer/songwriter/journalist mentioned Jim on her radio show the other day on the subject on how she writes songs:
"My friend told me that he had tried to understand how Jim Steinman, the man behind the songs of Meat Loaf for example, writes his songs. Apparently he writes his songs based on the theory that if you believe there are so many emotions and melody changes in a song that the song almost falls apart from its own weight, that's when you're supposed to add even more emotion and melody changes."
Not much in context, but it sums up Jim pretty well.
