Just quit making excuses for the guy. He's a professional musician, and he did a bad job in Amsterdam. It's as simple as that. The show was great, Meat was terrible.

It's been my, what, eight Meat Loaf concert, and I haven't seen one that totally won me over since 1999. (Night of the Proms was good apart from the predictable set list, and I thought the show in 2005 was technically perfect, only someone was completely on the auto-pilot.) I don't expect perfect renditions of songs as you find them on the albums. I don't care about lame excuses like traveling. I don't expect him to please everyone all the time (if that were the case, he had to drop Paradise ten years ago to please me).

I expect to get an enjoyable show, and that was what I got, apart from the bits where the guy who's name was on the ticket opened his mouth. You can't win 'em all.
