Indeed, however I am going with the Richard version, not his daddy.
I am so excited for the tv series. Hercules and Xena were two of my fav shows of all time growing up (bought them all on dvd too) and the fact that the people involved with them (and a lot of the actors too) are doing this show give me hope it will be given justice.
Also, hilarious reference to the chicken battle. Though it came off a little more scary in context... but then again A CHICKEN?!?!?! Maybe they will re cast the chicken from the episode where atolocus and iolaus battle that female, black leather wearing demi-god.
