That's bullshit. If he went with a new, original, good idea the chances of success would be the same. Look at Tanz, Germany's most popular musical of all times, etc
If he wants to call it BOOH to make the pomotion easier that's fine, but then everybody has to accept the fact that Meat Loaf has to be involved as well (if even it's just his name.
