That's a stupid thing to say on your part.
For whatever reason, Meats relationship with Leslie (the mother of his two children) broke down, you're not going to get over that so easily. So Meat found a new love, fantastic, but that still doesn't mean he wouldn't have regrets not still being with the woman who was part of his life for nearly quarter of a decade.
