Very low-key launch (don't think they have a label deal...yet), but the debut 'Mrs Loud' album is now currently available from e-bay only (see link). All tracks written/produced by Stuart Emerson in a very bluesy/rock style (think Tina Turner/Janis Japlin etc), and no Steinman covers. However, Lorraine's vocals are SUPERB throughout and great production (love the guitars). The stand-out song is called 'Sweat' and reminds me a lot (in style) of Tina Turner's 'Be Tender With Me Baby'. 'Face To Face', 'Still In Love With You' & 'Last Train' are also great. Overall the album is a million miles from what Jim does, but it is really good, and I recommend a purchase! Also, if Jim does a Bat musical 'concept' album, I really hope he asks Lorraine to do something. BTW - Loads of people thanked in the liner notes including Jim, Meat, Rink, Jeff Bova, Eddie Martinez, Bonnie & Patti Russo. Tracklist: Face To Face (with Mrs Loud) Don't Push Your Luck I Want You So Bad The Wind In My Hair Still In Love With You If I Have You A Love That Grows Sweat Let It Roll Last Train To Paradise Follow Your Heart I'm So Glad You Came | |
