Yeah, I shouldn't keep asking for info, as even though JD would probably like to keep us informed, her hands are obviously tied. I wish we had heard a bit more about the 'reading' (vocalists & musicians involved, a couple of pics posted to this site, maybe even a short soundclip if it was recorded), as this sort of stuff keeps the 'buzz' going as the show develops. Apart from JD's 'brief' message, we probably wouldn't have known a 'reading' took place, which is a shame for those of us genuinely interested. In the current financial climate, anyone think the 'spectacular' nature of this show, and in turn the 'spectacular' budget, might be having an effect on when the show happens (if at all)? Until the start of this year, I was still thinking an opening in late 2008 as an outside bet, but definately 2009. I think 2010 (unfortunately) is looking favourite now? BTW - Wicked has just extended booking to 26/9/09 at the Apollo Victoria (which I thought it would), so Bat 'aint gonna happen in that theatre until at least 2010. At the moment, I don't think there are any big theatres available in London through 2009. Probably unlikely due to ENO, but I've always said the producers should try for the London Coliseum (see link), which is my fave, and a large illuminated Bat (as per the Bat 1 cover) perched on top of the roof globe, would look great! > After JD got chastised for revealing the very little she > revealed about the reading I doubt she'll be revealing > anything of substance. | |
