Hei Niklas og velkommen!! No, I do not think Jim will stand in the shadows of his own musical. That is, if the advertising is done right. It is clearly Jim Steinman's Bat out of Hell, the way Jim envisions it, and it should be marketed and advertised as such. I think we cannot escape the fact that (thanks to marketing) most people associate Bat out of Hell with Meat Loaf first, but that doesn't mean the musical cannot be a success without Meat Loaf involved. And even if part of the people coming to see the show are Meat Loaf fans? Meat is the one who made all these songs so famous? Meat is the one who gave them a voice and a face? He does not need to be involved in the show, but he has set the standard for the songs by performing them first? He is the main association with Bat out of Hell for many people out there? Hey who knows, maybe those drawn in by the songs on BOOH might even become great Jim fans when they finally figure out there is more to Bat than Meat Loaf??? Greetings from Norway, Klasien > Hi! > > All Swedish articles I’ve read that one way or another > mentioned Jim Steinmans BOOH-musical, all call it a “Meat > loaf- musical”.
