Jim/Wagner,

The Bikers of the Round Table animated series sounds like a terrific concept.

I'm not sure about the music and the back catalogue. The concept could stand on its own without the music if executed with enough creativity and grace. I still vote for your writing a new song for each episode. Or one kick-ass theme song with a slight, but clever lyrical and arrangement variation each month -- kind of like the answering machine at the start of Cannell's old Rockford Files show.

I don't know much about musical theater production so I'll defer to Smeg and won't comment too much about that, but I do know that Still the Children could make for a great final song. The "new songs" mention has me salivating uncontrollably... but you already knew it would have that effect.

In regards to your comment about negativity and Justin, I assure you that he's about as devoted a fan as you get short of a horror movie script. In fact, I remember a moment shortly after I met him where he acted in your defense with such concern that it really was startling and kind of touching.

I'll differ from the others and say that I don't think the negativity is just about your silence. You should know by now that the negativity is an expression of passion and frustration. It just sucks for you that your fans aren't fickle like most. Bat Out of Hell: The Musical could turn into a braindead cabaret show stuffed with Frankensongs and I predict that Smeg will still be here deservedly ripping it a new ass, but not giving up yet. Lesser fans would simply change the channel.
