Great post Jim and you obviously have great taste in music. LOL.

Thanks for the cool comments on 'Ribbons of Blood', and I'm amazed that you're amazed!!

That was my Joker song, and I'm now definately gonna demo my Batman soliloquy!

Would Freddie have been appalled by WWRY? I think he would have loved the idea of a musical (using Queen's music), but like me, I think he would have been appalled at Ben Elton's script/story (even though Brian May & Roger Taylor love it).

BM & RT should have used more of their theatrical stuff in the show (Nevermore, March of the Black Queen, Millionaire Waltz, U Take My Breath Away are all genius, and all written by Mercury BTW).

I think if he had lived he may have ventured off and written his own musical at some point, and came close with the Mercury/Montserrat Caballe 'Barcelona' album.

It got slated back in 1987 but I adore it. All the songs are great but 'The Golden Boy' is 'very Steinman', with Tim Rice lyrics.

I think you touched on this idea with 'Gotham/Graveyard Shift'; ever thought of doing a rock singer/soprano album?
