1) history has proven time and again that cutting taxes increases revenues to the government.
2) when adjusted for inflation gas prices are lower now than at several points in history, and that was before it started dropping it has already dropped about 75 cents from its high and is much lower than in Britain.
3) Raising Taxes would kill him politically as it Did Bush 41. We'll see. I'm not saying McCain isn't Weak enough to do it, just saying there are plenty of reasons he wouldn't/shouldn't.
