Well of course you'd say that, you're trying to convince people that the Dead Ringer album cover is a parody of Raft Of The Medusa, when clearly most people don't see it. I understand how you might have jumped to that conclusion. I could probably argue that it's a parody of Rembrandts - The Storm or some other painting of a sea-going vessel in rough weather. Or perhaps it's just a nice album cover and not a parody of anything. > Bit boring that. > > Much more to the Deadringer one in my view if you read my > reply to Wills. > > Sabbath did the same thing with 'the last supper' on their > 'reunion' DVD. > > > I like my parodies to be a bit more obvious, like the > > album cover of The Pogues - Rum Sodomy & the Lash, where > > that is clearly a parody of Raft Of The Medusa > > > > > > http://www.walrusmusicblog.com/images/display/256imagery_pogues.jpg > > > > > It's a parody. > > > > > > Educate yourselves on it's origins, and those of the > > > 'muscualr form' in art here.... > > > > > > Should get the brain-cells ticking. > > > > > > (sorry to post the link twice but unsure how many bother > > > to scroll down the board.) > > > > > > | |
