| I recall that Jim wanted their sound to be more live and wanted to record tracks more than 3 or 4 notes at a time which was the method Mutt lange had used on their previous album/s. There was also mention of lots of record company and studio interference in the whole thingI don't think Jim was impressed by their intelligence and lack of interest in culture. It did lead to a story that Jim hired a taxi to drive to Paris. Wasn't this covered in the UK press (NME or Melody Maker) around the time of the release of Original Sin > He was producing their album. It was not because he > didn't fit their style.
