| Dozens of excited Meat Loaf fans packed a Hampshire pub to see their hero’s songs performed the way they should be. Landlady Jacqui Clapp was one of many audience members furious at the larger-than-life rocker’s summer performance at Broadlands in Romsey, which was criticised for being out of tune and lacklustre. But she offered fans a lifeline by staging a show at her pub, the Red Lion in Totton, featuring the country’s top Meat Loaf impersonator. Dean Torkington brought his show To Hell and Back – a Tribute to Meat Loaf to the pub on Friday night and brought the house down with his near perfect renditions of Meat Loaf’s biggest hits. --------------------------------------- Yes, there's a video, too. I hereby criticize Dean for being out of tune and lacklustre. "Near perfect renditions"? I dunno about you, but I'd rather go see Meat. Wonder which one Smeghead would rather see; he rants about both of them! ;-) | |
