I know what you mean i.e. the Steinman produced "Kiss" has the "We Will Rock You" section from "Original Sin" etc. Some people are also surprised to hear that "Tire Tracks", melodically, is "English Girls" from the 1985 production of "Song & Dance". "Kiss", to me, sounds quintessential ALW and the chorus, musically, could work in the Phantom sequel.
