| Here it comes, folks: The White House on "Cribs." Air Force One on "Pimp My Ride." Basketball as the new "national passtime." Wait, what? I'm not Sean Hannity? Okay, scratch that. I supported Obama and am feeling cautiously optimistic today. Here's an intelligent and enthusiastic president; let's give him a chance to be who he said he would be. He might fail. Every president is a crapshoot, really. Every leader. You just have to vote with your head & your gut, roll the dice and take your chances. He almost certainly won't be worse than Bush. And I believe he'll almost certainly be better than a McCain / Palin administration. And if he happens to fuck it up? Well, I've spent eight years dealing with the fuck ups of a president I didn't vote into office. Not sure the country did, either, for that matter. So let's give the other side a chance to support the fuck-up for a change. That's only fair, right? > Well, the McCain victory Jim predicted didn't come > through, thank God. Let's see what 4-8 years will give us. | |
