| Smeg, Congratulations on the new little one. (Don't worry; if Meat claims he's the father, nobody here will believe him.) I've begun indoctrinating my girls, ages 5.5 and 3.98, in the ways of Jim. My youngest actually got the ball rolling by her fascination with the TdV CD cover (the one with Krolock about to snack on Sara's neck). The kids wouldn't stop asking me questions about it, and they were constantly asking to listen to it, in all its German glory, in the car. Much to my wife's chagrin. It occurred to me the other night that I could show them clips of it on Youtube, so we spent two evenings this past week watching TdV vids in lieu of our standard bedtime story. Then I busted out the IDAFL video, and now my oldest keeps singing that one line, over and over, and further off-key than Meat. Did I mention my wife was chagrined ? Its kind of weird to explain to the kids that, yes, the girl does become a vampire in the end, DOESN'T marry the nice young mortal boy (eat your heart out, Disney!), and eventually Vampires take over the world. Anyway, yay to Steinmaniacs-in-training. > I just got my Steinman shirt in the mail... VERY cool, > thanks DAVE... > > Also, I just bought my wife a shirt that says "All knocked > up and no place to go"... oh yeah... and we're expecting > another little Steinmaniac. | |
