Isn't saying:

> I'm not sure that the education and health care sectors
> are good examples of capitalism in the United States,

Then saying:

> One problem with health care in the U.S. is that the
> availability of insurance has perverted the capitalist
> pricing system.

...contradictorary statements?

When you have a health system making huge ridiculous profits from insurance to pharmaceuticals to medical equipment and everything else inbetween and that cost is passed onto to the sick and needy, then surely the health care sector is a great example of capitalism in America.

Also the fact that American's with their capitalist health care, for the most part, aren't actually any fitter or healthier than their socialist cousins, shouldn't that raise questions as to what exactly are Americans getting for their money and shouldn't something be changed?

Maybe there's an elitist mentality with those who oppose universal healthcare, that they're somehow better than the weak and feeble who can't afford it, making them feel and seem better than they are. Lets be honest, Americans constantly say that they're the greatest nation on earth and if they can get rid of the poor and sick then more cream is going to rise to the top, enhancing that self belief of greatness.

I live in a country with free healthcare and came from a country with free healthcare. Healthcare should be a basic right for everyone and not just for those who can afford it.
